If Not You, Who?: A workshop for schools and young people

If Not You, Who? is an interactive workshop for 8-year-olds and older. The programme is free to run in schools, supported by The Showing Up Foundation.

It is designed to help young people to recognise their gifts, explore what they care about, and understand how they can make a positive difference.

Through engaging activities, reflection, and group discussion, students build the confidence to take responsibility for a cause and recognise how their actions can shape their own lives and the world around them.

BOOK YOUR PLACE
  • If Not You, Who? is a 2-hour interactive workshop designed to help young people believe in themselves and recognise that they have something meaningful to offer the world.

Many young people underestimate their own value. They assume that making a difference is only for certain types of people, or that you need confidence, experience, or a clear plan before you can contribute. This workshop challenges that belief. It helps students see that everyone has gifts, strengths, and perspectives that matter, and that the world genuinely needs them.

Through engaging, interactive activities, students explore what makes them unique, what they care about, and how those qualities can make a difference.

The focus is not on grand gestures or unrealistic expectations, but on practical, human contributions. That might mean helping one person, supporting a local cause, volunteering in the community, or shaping a career guided by purpose and responsibility.

Alongside inspiration, the workshop provides practical guidance. Students learn to take responsibility in realistic ways, avoid overcommitting, and contribute sustainably, whether through volunteering now or through the choices they make about their education and future careers.

The aim of If Not You, Who is simple: to help every young person leave believing that they matter, that they are needed, and that they can make a positive difference, starting where they are.
